Let me grow!

Inspiration can come from the most unexpected places. A few days ago, I watched Yorgos Lanthimos's film "Poor Things", where a young pregnant woman, following a failed suicide attempt, undergoes an unconventional surgery: a brilliant surgeon transplants her brain with that of her unborn child. She becomes both mother and child simultaneously—a remarkable, haunting experiment. And what better way to celebrate the holiday season than with a touch of fantasy rooted in real-life dynamics? Mother-daughter relationships have always been, and will always remain, intricate. No one knows you like your mother; no one else can piece you back together when you're feeling broken, holding you close, singing, and soothing with a simple soup that somehow tastes like home. A mother's touch, a mother's warmth, and that familiar scent transcend any luxury perfume, taking you back to a safe place of childhood memories. 

You can tell so much about a woman—her confidence, her sense of self—simply by observing her relationship with her mother. Who else could make you feel so fearless? And yet, who could leave you feeling more vulnerable when that support isn’t there? Mothers, in their own way, always try to hold on but also to set us free, even when it's hard. They would rather believe we’re far away and thriving, even if we're actually struggling. Children left by their mothers carry a certain chill, one that only a mother’s love can thaw. 

With this new holiday design, Let Me Grow aims to add a little warmth to those "cold feet," if only for a moment. May this season be a reminder of the bonds that shape us and the resilience they bring.
